If you have been following us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/dallascountymuseum/), you know we are working to get the Sports Museum ready to display the traveling Smithsonian exhibit, Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America. Melrose Bagwell and I have attended several workshops on conservation, preservation, and presentation, while Garie Johnson and Melrose have attended a workshop for education coordination programs. This is an exciting time for the Dallas County Museum, and we look forward to spending the next two months getting the history of Dallas County sports together to display in this exhibit.
